World Martial Arts uses only real DVD-Video on all of our DVD products. DVD-Video is professionally made, the same as a movie that you would purchase from a retail store. DVD-Video is scratch proof and contains a hard UV coating that protects from heat and cold. Many martial arts companies today sell DVD-R, an inferior product. DVD-R is burned on a computer and is a very soft disk. It can scratch easily and has no protection from heat, sunlight or cold temperatures.

DVD-R also suffers from problems with player compatibility issues. Depending on the brand of DVD-R, it may not work on your DVD player. The reason that many of these companies are selling DVD-R, is cost. They are far cheaper to produce than the real thing. Make sure that you purchase only DVD-Video when you buy martial art videos. When you are looking at DVDs from other companies, ask if they are DVD-Video or DVD-R. You can also look for the authentic DVD-Video logo below.
